Distribution: Hydropsyche dinarica is known from Central, Western and Southern Europe.

Habitat: The species inhabits rivulets and rivers in the Alps and in mountainous regions and is highly sensitive to organic pollutions (Pitsch 1993, Waringer & Graf 1997).

Nutrition: Larvae are scrapers and filter feeders, feeding on aufwuchs, detritus and small invertebrates (Waringer & Graf 1997, Graf et al. 2002).

Adults: Adults are on the wing from May to September (Waringer & Graf 1997).
